Copenhagen Airports to make more permanent changes to day-to-day ops to save on costs
Copenhagen Airports A/S reported (25-Jun-2020) while around 2200 employees are still on the government's wage compensation scheme, the programme "has been far from enough" to cover all operational costs. Accordingly, the operator will remain focused on aligning the airport's costs and operations with expected developments in passenger traffic going forward, introducing more permanent changes to day-to-day operations in light of the altered conditions caused by COVID-19. Specifically, changes will made to the way work is planned and organised in Copenhagen Airports' security segment, which is the largest department staff-wise. The company has already terminated eight of 45 local agreements and four of the 14 common practise agreements, all involving the scheduling and organisation of duty rosters and rotation schemes for the some 970 staff in security. No changes have been made to the basic collective agreement for security. [more - original PR]
