Continental Airlines RASM fall reduces; pax up 0.7%; load factor up 3.2%, trans-Atlantic up 6.3%
Continental Airlines consolidated traffic highlights in Nov-2009:
- Passenger numbers: 4.8 million, +0.7% year-on-year;
- Passenger traffic (RPMs): +2.9%;
- Domestic: +2.9%;
- Trans-Atlantic: -3.6%;
- Latin America: +5.8%;
- Asia Pacific: +15.3%;
- Passenger load factor: 80.5%, +3.2 ppts;
- Domestic: 83.3%, +2.7 ppts;
- Trans-Atlantic: 80.1%, +6.3 ppts;
- Latin America: 80.6%, +1.8 ppt;

Continental Airlines: "For November 2009, consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) is estimated to have decreased between 7.0 and 9.0% compared to November 2008, while mainline RASM is estimated to have decreased between 8.0 and 10.0%. The ranges of the year-over-year RASM estimates for the month of November are wider than usual due to processing delays associated with the transition to Star Alliance.
