Cimber Sterling's bankruptcy will not have major impact on Copenhagen Airport

Denmark's Copenhagen Airport (CPH) stated (03-May-2012) Cimber Sterling accounted for approximately 6% of traffic at the airport. Several routes have already been replaced by other carriers and the airport is in talks with a number of airlines to fill the remaining routes. The airport continued, "CPH will only suffer a limited loss on receivable amounts from Cimber Sterling. Based on the current information CPH still expect the total number of passengers to increase compared to 2011. And overall, a higher total profit before tax, when excluding one-off items, is expected for 2012. Thereby CPH retains the expectations for 2012". [more - original PR]
