China Southern considering plans to acquire 65% stake in Shenzhen Airlines

China Southern Airlines is reportedly considering plans to acquire approximately a 65% stake in Shenzhen Airlines, once the carrier receives CNY1.5 billion (USD220 million) in government subsidies from parent, China Southern Air Holding Co (nbd, 24-Feb-2010). China Southern Air Holding plans to inject the funds into the airline via a private placement.
