Charter start-up to launch services in Indonesia

Surya Air, a non-schedule charter start-up, plans to launch services in Indonesia with IDR74.9 billion (USD8.4 million) in capital (The Jakarta Post, 22-Oct-2010). The airline was established by cigarette company PT Gudang Garam on 15-Oct-2010. The Indonesia National Air Carriers Association (INACA) stated charter demand in the country is high from many sectors in the country.
