Cathay Pacific hopes JAL stays in oneworld

Cathay Pacific's newly appointed GM in Japan, Simon Large, stated Japan Airlines is an important part of oneworld and hopes the airline will remain in the alliance (Japan Times, 09-Oct-2009).

Cathay Pacific: "This alliance has very complementary carriers in it.. All work together extremely well. The value of that is enormous. So I believe being part of oneworld creates significant value for JAL as well in revenue and other benefits when compared to any other alternatives maybe out there today… It's my genuine hope that JAL remain in the oneworld alliance at this critical time," Simon Large, GM Japan.
