Carbon tax would have significant financial impact: Qantas

Qantas CEO Alan Joyce stated introduction of a carbon tax by the Australian Government would have a significant financial impact on Qantas and distort competition for Australian businesses (Australian Financial Review, 14-Oct-2010). Mr Joyce believes Australia should proceed at the same pace as other countries. The Australian Government is considering a carbon tax as an alternative to an emissions trading scheme.
