CAPA: Airline cash reserves running out fast as coronavirus impacts widen

CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'COVID-19. By the end of May, most world airlines will be bankrupt', stated (16-Mar-2020) coordinated government and industry action is needed now if catastrophe is to be avoided. As the impact of the coronavirus and multiple government travel reactions to stop the spread of the virus continue, cash reserves are running out quickly and many airlines have probably already been driven into technical bankruptcy, or are at least substantially in breach of debt covenants.
