British Airways celebrates 90 years

British Airways celebrated 90 years of international service on 25-Aug-09. The carrier launched the world's first daily international air service from London to Paris on 25-Aug-1919, operated by Air Transport & Travel Ltd, a precursor to British Airways. Since then, the airline has carried more than 1.2 billion customers. The airline's next historical milestone will be on 20-Apr-2010, when the carrier will celebrate 75 years of service to Australia.
