Britain relaxes travel advisory to Japan; Tokyo excluded from areas to avoid

Britain's Embassy in Japan stated it no longer advises its nationals against travel to Tokyo in light of the continued efforts to control radiation leaks at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant (Kyodo News, 07-Apr-2011). The British government continues to advise avoiding non-essential travel to areas northeast of Tokyo affected by the quake, including the 80km radius around the plant some 220km from the capital.
