Brisbane Airport previously outlined plans to build a new planespotting area in 2026, closer to the Zulu and Yankee taxiways, offering clearer views of aircraft using the western runway and also movements on the eastern runway, with the existing viewing area to close temporarily during works and a decommissioned Fokker F28 Fellowship to feature at the site1.
