Brazil's economy may expand 7.5% in 2010

Brazil's Finance Minister Guido Mantega stated Brazil's economy may expand 7.5% in 2010 up from a previous forecast of 7% (Bloomberg, 13-Oct-2010). Mr Mantega stated Brazil is experiencing a sustainable expansion and conditions are in place for 5.5% to 6% growth in the next four years regardless of how the US economy performs. He added that inflation in the range of 5-5.2% is anticipated this year.
