Brazilian aviation industry posts a USD100m loss in 1Q2019

Brazil ANAC announced (09-Aug-2019) Gol Linhas Aéreas, LATAM Airlines Brazil, Azul Linhas Aereas and Avianca Brazil registered a loss of BRL397.3 million (USD100.8 million) in 1Q2019, a -3.7% margin. Carriers reported a BRL211.8 million (USD53.7 million) profit in 1Q2018, a 3.4% margin. Azul Linhas Aereas was the only carrier to post a profit, with BRL211.8 million and 8.3% margin.
