The Ministry's broader 2026/2027 strategy included a BRL1.5 billion investment plan to expand and modernise regional airport infrastructure nationwide, with 34 new projects across 31 airports in 16 states, prioritising regions with low air transport coverage and including technical studies for additional sites1. Recently, BRL731 million in private investment was also secured for 13 airports in the Northeast and Legal Amazon through the AmpliAR programme2.
