Brazil Minister of Infrastructure: 'We already see a drop in international demand' due to COVID-19

Brazil's Minister of Infrastructure Tarcisio Freitas, via the Ministry's official LinkedIn account, commented (09-Mar-2020) on the impact of the coronavirus outbreak in the aviation industry, stating: "Obviously it has an impact as it's an alarming situation". He added: "We already see a drop in international demand, and that is starting to reflect in the domestic demand". Mr Freitas stated the government will implement stimulus measures in the aviation industry to mitigate "this crisis period". He added that the measures are already being drafted.
