Brazil Lower House approves bill intended to develop regional aviation

Brazil Civil Aviation Secretariat announced (21-Jun-2016) the lower house approved a bill authorising the creation of 'Linhas Pioneiras' (Pioneering Routes) to be serviced exclusively by regional carriers for 10 years. The bill is to develop low-traffic routes and will not attract federal subsidies. The next stage of the bill is to be debated and approved/rejected by the Brazilian Senate, with a deadline of 29-Jun-2016. [more - original PR - Portuguese]
