About
Brazil's Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports & Civil Aviation was the ministry charged with the oversight and provision of road, rail, water and air transport services within Brazil. The Brazil Civil Aviation Secretariat was established in 2011 as the regulating body charged with the provision of safe and secure air services in Brazil. The government later incorporated the secretariat into the Ministry. The Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports & Civil Aviation was split into two new ministries from 2023: the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Ports & Airports.
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) is responsible for the country's transportation policy for rail and road transport, as well as the Brazilian transit sector.
