Brazil airports pax and ops increase during second week of World Cup: SAC
Brazil's Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC) reported (27-Jun-2014) Brazilian airports handled 3.89 million passengers during the second week of the 2014 FIFA World Cup from 19-Jun-2014 to 26-Jun-2014, up from 3.7 million during the first week. 5.9% of services were delayed and 7.8% of services cancelled, which the SAC noted was within international averages. Operations increased during the second week to 32,272 at the country's 20 main airports, up from 31,120 during the first week of the tournament. The World Cup runs from 12-Jun-2014 to 13-Jul-2014.
