Branson requested Virgin Atlantic director 'sound out contacts' with British Airways

UK's Office of Fair Trading stated Virgin Atlantic President, Richard Branson, allegedly requested a director at the carrier "sound out contacts" with British Airways executives as to whether they would consider proposed changes to passenger fuel surcharges (Travel Trade Gazette, 27-Apr-2010/The Times, 28-Apr-2010). The carriers raised their surcharges only days after the two discussed the plan. The case against British Airways continues.
