Bombardier sees USD200m loss in Commercial Aircraft segment for 2015, on CSeries impacts

Bombardier reported (30-Jul-2015) the following outlooks for its Commercial Aircraft and Aerostructures and Engineering Services segments:

  • Commercial Aircraft:
    • Deliveries: On track to meet delivery guidance of 80 aircraft for the full year;
    • EBIT: Negative EBIT of approximately USD200 million including the dilutive impact of the initial years of production of the C Series programme. EBIT outlook remains "basically in line with guidance", although some risk remains, depending on the assumptions used with respect to the level of non-cash provisioning in relation to the dilutive impact of the CSeries initial deliveries.
  • Aerostructures and Engineering Services:
    • Revenue: "On track" for full year revenue of USD1.8 billion, mainly from intersegment contracts with the Business;
      Aircraft and Commercial Aircraft segments;
    • EBIT: 8.8% margin before special items for 1H2015 is higher than our EBIT margin guidance for FY2015 (approximately 4%) and includes timing elements. Bombardier expects a 6% EBIT margin for the full year. [more - original PR]
