Boeing to deliver first B787 to ANA on 25-Sep-2011

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Boeing stated (26-Aug-2011) the contractual delivery of the first B787 will occur in Everett on 25-Sep-2011, more than three years behind the originally scheduled May-2008 delivery date (Bloomberg/Dow Jones/AFP/Denver Business Journal, 26-Aug-2011). The B787 will depart Everett on 27-Sep-2011 to arrive in Tokyo on 28-Sep-2011. ANA launched the B787 programme with an order for 50 aircraft in Apr-2004. The carrier expects to receive 11 more B787s by the end of Mar-2012, followed by a further eight in the 12 month to Mar-2013. [more]
