Berlin Airports pax up 4%, cargo up 3% in Mar-2013; 1Q2013 pax up 2% despite 'difficult' conditions

Germany's Berlin Airports reported (09-Apr-2013) passenger numbers at Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schonefeld airports continued to grow in 1Q2013 despite difficult economic conditions, with a 2.1% year-on-year increase in passengers to 5.4 million. Details include:

    • Passenger numbers: 2.1 million, +4.2% year-on-year;
      • Berlin Tegel: 1.5 million, +7.6%;
      • Berlin Schonefeld: 542,384, -4.3%;
