Bengaluru International Airport handles 9.3 million pax numbers in 2009

Bengaluru International Airport reports the following traffic highlights (Deccan Herald, 03-Mar-2010):

• Jan-2010:
• Passenger numbers:
  • International: 176,319;
  • Domestic: 735,600.
• 2009:
  • Passenger numbers: 9.3 million.

Bangalore International Airport Limited: "Coming Summer 2010 (from 28-Mar) the daily movements are expected to increase to 310-315 per day, with domestic operations constituting 87% and international 13% of movements. We expect passenger traffic trends that recorded a growth of 14% in the last financial year (2008-09) to continue this year too," Hari Marar, Chief Operating Officer.
