Bangkok Airways not interested in alliance with Orient Thai Airlines/One-Two-Go

Bangkok Airways President, Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, stated there are a number of structural differences between Bangkok Airways and Orient Thai Airlines (and its One-Two-Go subsidiary), making potential integration between the two groups impossible (Bangkok Post, 02-Oct-2009). Mr Prasarttong-Osoth ruled out a merger, noting the only possible form of cooperation for Bangkok Airways would be a limited joint marketing agreement. Orient Thai and One-Two-Go have reportedly sought wide-ranging cooperation with Bangkok Airways, including joint flight operations and marketing.

Bangkok Airways: "Their business models, operating concepts, aircraft types and routes are totally different from ours. I don't think we will benefit from forming an alliance," Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President. Source: Bangkok Post, 02-Oct-2009.
