Avolon: 'Asia is a different market than it was 10 years ago, its much more crowded'

Avolon head of Asia Pacific Simon Hanson, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (03-Mar-2016) Asia is "a different market from a decade ago when we were all backing IndiGo, AirAsia, Lion but they've matured. So, for new airlines entering the market we have to look elsewhere like Iran or Myanmar where an opportunity might emerge." Mr Hanson added: "Asia is a different market than it was 10 years ago, its much more crowded, getting in as a start-up is harder."
