Australia’s Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (19-Jan-2011) the following traffic highlights for Australian domestic airlines in Nov-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.9 million, +8.3% year-on-year;

      • Brisbane-Sydney: 463,309, +5.8%;
      • Brisbane-Melbourne:  330,228, +22.2%;
      • Adelaide-Melbourne: 226,472, +20.0%;
      • Gold Coast-Sydney: 221, 874, +3.6%;
      • Gold Coast-Melbourne: 192,348, +22.5%;
      • Melbourne-Perth: 185,965, +17.4%;
      • Perth-Sydney: 178,460, +22.0%;
      • Adelaide-Sydney: 173,508, -0.9%;
      • Hobart-Melbourne: 123,285, +10.2%.
    • Load factor: 80%, -2.1 ppts;
      • Gold Coast-Sydney: 88.9%, +3.9 ppts;
