Australia's BITRE releases domestic air fare index for Nov-2013, business fares up

Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) released (14-Nov-2013) Domestic Air Fare Index for Nov-2013 which showed the 'Best Discount Fare' Index (Jul-2003 = 100) for domestic travel rose 1.6% year-on-year to 62.5 in Nov-2013. 'Restricted Economy' and 'Full Economy' were higher when compared Nov-2012, up 7% and 1.2% respectively. 'Business Class' was also higher, up 28.7% year-on-year. [more - original PR]
