Australian domestic airlines report 2% rise in Sep-2009 pax
Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (18-Nov-2009) the following traffic highlights for Australian domestic airlines in Sep-2009:
- Passenger numbers: 4.4 million, +2.3% year-on-year;
- Load factor: 82.3%, +3.2 ppts;
- Top ten domestic city pairs:
- Melbourne-Sydney: 611,700, +7.9% year-on-year;
- Brisbane-Sydney: 368,500, +3.7%;
- Brisbane-Melbourne: 250,700, +2.8%;
- Gold Coast-Sydney: 184,000, +8.6%;
- Adelaide-Melbourne: 164,500, -5.5%;
- Gold Coast-Melbourne: 146,500, +7.3%;
- Melbourne-Perth: 142,800, +3.4%;
- Adelaide-Sydney: 137,500, +8.9%;
- Perth-Sydney: 117,300, -1.7%;
