ATR forecasts demand for 750 new turboprops for the Asia Pacific in the next 20 years

ATR forecast (17-Oct-2016) demand for 750 new turboprops for the Asia Pacific region over the next 20 years. Growth would be partly fuelled by about 600 new routes to be created in the region (excluding China). Route creation will represent 27% of aircraft needs. In addition, ATR estimates that regional traffic demand in emerging countries should grow eight times faster than in more mature economies. Out of the 750 estimated aircraft, 630 would be for the ATR 72, while the demand for the smaller ATR 42 could reach 120 units. [more - original PR]
