Association of European Airlines pax numbers up 2% in 1H2013, cargo traffic stable

Association of European Airlines (AEA) reports (14-Aug-2013) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines for the six months ended Jun-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 173.1 million, +1.7% year-on-year;
• • International short/medium-haul: 93.8 million, +3.2%;
  • Total long-haul: 35.8 million, +3.0%;
• Passenger traffic (RPKs): +2.7%;
• Capacity (ASKs): +1.2%;
• Load factor: 77.6%, +1.2 ppts;
