ASEAN and EU working towards aviation agreement

ASEAN Ministers of Transport and EU Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc held (15-Feb-2016) an informal meeting on 14-Feb-2016. The ASEAN Ministers reiterated the association's interest in swiftly concluding an EU-level comprehensive aviation agreement and expressed hope that the European Commission (EC) would receive a mandate from EU member states to commence negotiations shortly. Ms Bulc said she is convinced a single ASEAN aviation market "would lead to a boom similar to what the EU experienced."
