Arkia Israeli Airlines to take delivery of up to four A330-900neos

Airbus announced (11-Jul-2016) Arkia Israeli Airlines will take delivery of up to four A330-900neo aircraft, becoming the first Airbus widebody customer in Israel. The A330neo will be equipped with Airspace by Airbus cabins, and complemented with fourth generation or light in-flight entertainment, enabling mobile telephony, internet and on board WiFi via personal devices. Arkia majority owner Jordache Enterprises chairman Joe Nakash stated: "The A330-900neo will be a key asset to help us grow efficiently on highly competitive international long-haul routes from Israel." Airbus chief operating officer customers John Leahy said: "The mix of the A321neo with A330neo in ARKIA's fleet will allow the airline to reap the benefits of Airbus' unique aircraft commonality."
