Airports of Thailand planned to expand capacity at its six airports, including constructing new international terminals at Phuket and Chiang Mai, with the Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang expansions targeted for completion by 2031 and 2030 respectively. Recent updates indicated the design phase for Don Mueang's expansion was expected to finish by Nov-2024, and public hearings and design work for Phuket's terminal expansion were underway, with construction targeted for completion in 20291 2 3.
