ANA to upgrade capacity from Tokyo Haneda

ANA announced (20-Aug-2010) details of its service and network upgrades from Tokyo Haneda Airport, coinciding with the opening of the new international terminal in Oct-2010 and the expansion of ANA's Terminal 2 for domestic services - see Route Changes Table for more information. Details include:

  • New international terminal: The new international terminal will open on 21-Oct-2010 and. ANA will shift its international operation from the current terminal, and introduce services and facilities such as new lounges and a larger number of self-service check-in kiosks. The carrier stated minimum connecting times from domestic to international departure times will be reduce from 80 to 70 minutes, with international arrivals-domestic departures minimum connecting times to remain at 80 minutes, while international arrival-international departure minimum connecting times will be reduced from 60 minutes to 45 minutes;
  • New international services: As previously announced, ANA will launch five new routes that connect Haneda to Los Angeles, Honolulu, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei (Songshan) as well as Beijing, Shanghai (Hongqiao), Hong Kong and Seoul (Gimpo). The carrier will also change departure times for late-night services to Hong Kong and increase Haneda-Seoul Gimpo frequency;
  • ANA Lounge: The carrier will open a new ANA Suite Lounge at the new international terminal;
  • Check-in services: The carrier will introduce ANA "Click internet check-in" and "Click mobile check-in" services at the new terminal;
  • Domestic terminal: ANA's domestic terminal at Haneda will double size on 13-Oct-2010, with the expanded terminal to feature more self-check-in kiosks, counters, security checkpoints and baggage claim facilities;
  • Domestic services: The carrier will resume Tokyo Haneda-Tokushima service and increase frequency on Haneda-Hiroshima and Haneda-Takamatsu routes. [more]
