ANA Holdings expanding fleet with order for 48 narrowbody aircraft

All Nippon Airways parent ANA Holdings announced (29-Jan-2019) plans to order up to 48 narrowbody aircraft. The carrier intends to make a firm order for 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, and take 10 options, as well as a firm order for 18 A320neo aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled between FY2021 and FY2025. ANA said the order decision was based on the economic growth of Asia and emerging countries, with demand in the Asian aviation market and inbound demand on the rise. Specific markets to be served by the new aircraft have not been finalised. ANA is the first Japanese airline to order the 737 MAX 8. [more - original PR I] [more - original PR II]
