American Airlines says ATC system is 'so important to the future of the future of the industry'

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker, speaking at the CAPA America Aviation Summit 2016, stated (12-Apr-2016) the ATC system is "so important to the future of the future of the industry", and holds some airlines back versus other carriers and systems worldwide: "We should be ahead [with our ATC system] but we're behind." Commenting on Delta's opposition to ATC overhaul Mr Parker stated: "Why is it that Delta believes something else that no else wants? I don't think it is because they have different facts, they have a different agenda". Delta is "doing what is best for Delta," he stated.
