American Airlines hopes to strengthen Japan Airlines partnership

American Airlines CEO Tom Horton, according to a Nikkei report, said the carrier hopes to strengthen its partnership with Japan Airlines on Asian and trans-Pacific services. The carrier currently offers trans-Pacific code-share services with its oneworld partner airline. In addition to increasing service between the US and Tokyo, American Airlines would like to increase flights between Tokyo and other Asian cities, while also noting the possibility of expanding the relationship to cover cargo operations.
