Amazon VP and CTO: There is 'tremendous potential' in AI

Amazon VP and CTO Werner Vogels, speaking at the IATA AGM, stated (03-Jun-2024) there is "tremendous potential" in artificial intelligence (AI), noting: "But we shouldn't forget old AI, the AI that just works like image recognition". Mr Vogels added: "Let's not think that AI suddenly appeared in our world, it's been there for a long time".
