ALTA executive director and CEO: Governments can be 'afraid' to remove taxes on aviation

Latin American & Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) executive director and CEO José Ricardo Botelho, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Latin America & Caribbean, stated (23-Aug-2024) governments can be "afraid" to remove taxes on aviation "that should not be there". Mr Botelho said the removal of taxes can encourage travel demand "and bring much more people".
