Allegiant has low fixed cost 'as it related to our aircraft'

Allegiant Travel Company VP fleet and corporate finance Tom Doxey, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (04-Mar-2016) the carrier has a low fixed cost "as it relates to our aircraft, which allows us only to fly when we feel the proper demand is there." Mr Doxey noted: "The majority of our markets are just twice per week…A great example would be flying into Las Vegas for the weekend, most people would come on a Thursday or Friday and leave on a Sunday or Monday, nobody wants to fly on a Saturday or Tuesday so we don't."
