Allegiant announces formation of Allegiant Systems

Allegiant Travel Co announced (01-Oct-2012) the formation of Allegiant Systems via a JV with AvIntel and Lixar IT. Allegiant Systems will provide a wide variety of mobile technology services to the commercial aviation industry. Allegiant System's will initially provide Allegiant Air and other airlines with software-as-a-service (SAAS) solutions. The cloud-based model will provide software which assists airline operations in a number of areas, including Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), in-flight operations including buy-on-board, and cabin crew automation.
