All Nippon Airways maintains annual profit target

All Nippon Airways President, Shinichiro Ito, stated a rebound in sales would help the carrier achieve its annual profit target, following the largest drop in international passengers in six years (Bloomberg, 31-Aug-09). Mr Ito added that the carrier is not considering further cost cuts at this stage.

ANA: "Economy-class demand is back to year-ago levels, but demand for business trips is still lower. We still have time and aim to make our profit target through sales alone," Shinichiro Ito, President. Source: Bloomberg, 31-Aug-09.
