Alitalia operating loss widens in 1Q2013

Alitalia reported (27-May-2013) the following financial highlights for three months ended 31-Mar-2013:

  • Revenue: EUR729 million;
    • Passenger: +1.2%;
      • Domestic: -7.4%;
      • International: +1.1%;
        • Intercontinental: +11.5%;
  • Operating profit (loss): (EUR136 million), compared to a loss of EUR109 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR157 million), compared to a loss of EUR131 million in p-c-p;
  • Load factor: 70.7%, +1.9 ppt;
