Alisarda announces further restructuring of the business

Alisarda (Meridiana SPA Holding) stated (20-Apr-2016) as it is entering the next phase in the restructuring of its business, Richard W Creagh will step down from the role of CEO. He will continue as executive advisor for the next six months to facilitate a smooth transition in the management of Meridiana. Alisarda, sole shareholder of Meridiana, has defined the composition of the Board of Directors, which will be appointed during its 20-Apr-2016 meeting. The Board of Directors will confirm Marco Rigotti as chairman and Corinne Fournot as non-executive director and will appoint Luca Ragnedda as new non-executive director. The Board of directors will have a one-year term. The new Board of Directors will be responsible for supporting and managing the partnership with Qatar Airways. The Board of Directors appointed chairman Marco Rigotti, to manage the company for a temporary period, after which the Shareholder will appoint a new CEO. Mr Creagh said, "Having turned around the performance of the airline in 2015, my role in the turnaround plan is almost completed. As we enter into a strong new partnership with Qatar Airways it is time to make way for fresh, long term, leadership to continue with the transformation process carrying the company forward into a brighter future".
