AIT Dublin: 9/11 security tax is ‘rude’: JetBlue

JetBlue CEO David Barger, at CAPA's Airlines in Transition conference in Dublin said (11-Apr-2013) of the US Government's implementation of the 9/11 security tax, "It's rude." Mr Barger elaborated that the airline industry was attacked during the terrorist events of 11-Sep-2001 but has been taxed from it in order to help the US government reduce its deficit and not use the tax to benefit aviation, such as improve air traffic management. Regulators "keep milking this industry", Mr Barger said.
