Airlines for Europe MD Ourania 'Rania' Georgoutsakou, speaking at the CAPA Airline Leader Summit - Airlines in Transition, stated (09-May-2025) "The biggest obstacle to uptake of SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) is the price", noting: "SAF is unaffordable". She added: "I think the cost of doing business in Europe has tripled in the past 10 years".
