AirAsia to slow down delivery of A320s

AirAsia is reportedly in discussions with Airbus to slow down A320 delivery rates, in a bid to reduce its rollout to match cash flow and demand (Malaysia Business Times, 01-Jun-2010). The carrier currently expects 105 additional A320s to be delivered through to 2015 at a rate of 22 aircraft per year, although CEO Tony Fernandes stated the carrier's ideal rollout is 12 aircraft per year.
