Air Niugini suspended Port Moresby-Tokyo Narita service effective Jul-2020, after previously operating the route with periodic suspensions and seasonal adjustments in 2019.1 2 3 It also planned to increase Port Moresby-Sydney from twice to three times weekly from 03-Apr-2026 and switch the route from Boeing 737-800 to A220 equipment from late Mar-2026.4 Air Niugini was also scheduled to commence weekly Port Moresby-Nadi from 29-Mar-2026.5
