Air New Zealand partnered with BETA Technologies to introduce the BETA ALIA CX300 as part of its Next Generation Aircraft technical demonstrator programme, which involved a series of flights across New Zealand over four months, starting with the first test flight from Tauranga to Hamilton on 17-Oct-2025 and subsequent pilot introductions in November 20251 2.
