Air Lease Corporation told to expect 'a few month delays' for some or all of its P&W powered A320s
Air Lease Corporation (ALC) CEO and president John Plueger said (03-Nov-2016) the company has been advised by Airbus to anticipate "a few month delays" for some or all of its Pratt & Whitney powered A320 and A320neo aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2017. ALC has eight such aircraft on the 2017 schedule, out of a total of 34 new aircraft delivery stream for 2017. Mr Plueger said it is "premature to judge the impact, as we are still discussing specific aircraft delays and financial remedies", but ALC is confident that its 2017 earnings plan will be "fully achieved as we look to add incremental aircraft by taking advantage of market opportunities".
